Boots  2  Chemistry  3

The last game of the competition and finishing where we started with a defeat, but by only one goal which suggests improvement! Again the Boots took the lead, a classy header from a corner by Wolfgang that squeezed between defender and post, and again the advantage was conceded. An even 1st half saw chances come and go at both ends, however Gudjackson, already suffering from a leg injury he brought into the match, damaged a thumb and could take no part in the 2nd half. Millerdona donned the famous Scotland keeper's shirt and gloves for the second half and made some good saves as the boots were put under some pressure that lead to three quick goals, which to be fair he could have done little about. In particular a screamer from out on the left that went into the far right top corner must count as one of the goals of the competition - why are they always against us?! The Boots still created chances though and Dino in the Chemistry goal was called on to make a few smart saves. Rich pulled a goal back to give us hope but it wasn't quite enough in the end.
Millerdona was having a good game in the middle of the park before has creativity was cut short when he was forced to stand in as emergency keeper - some good saves though. Andy was his usually tough tackling, tough talking self. David had another good game full of running, tackling and had one wonderful strike that just dipped over the cross bar. Tim was as ever cool and composed and Wolfgang scored a good goal, held the ball up well and looked absolutely knackered at the end. Rich also scored a good goal and was unlucky not to get a couple more - another very tired looking young man at the end. Shi Li is quick and ran and ran and caused a lot of problems in the Chemistry defence. Boberto was again immense. An absolutely fantastic performance. One minute standing strong and making tough tackle after tough tackle and the next surging up the pitch like Bobby Moore.

Iron Boot Award: Andy. For his tough challenge on Matt in the 1st half that was of dubious legality and maybe more belly than anything else.

Skill Boot. Shi Li. Second Week on the trot for another sublime first half turn. Magic.

Soft Slipper: Dan for not turning up. Gudjackson for injuring himself again!
