Flying Boots 2 Maths 0
A game won in very much the style of the Forest side from the late 70's
early 80's. Hit 'em on the break and defend, defend and defend some more! A
great team effort and a slap on the back for everyone (except me because it
would hurt too much!) especially since we were effectively a man down for
most of the game. Top game by Rich in nets. Two saves at the end were world
class...and he was late for his lecture! Andy and Bobby were solid at the
back and were given plenty of assistance by Gyles and Millerdona. In fact
the score could have been increased when Millerdona went close with a cheeky
lob in the 2nd! Steve McManaOwen had a chance and scored and yours truly
chipped in with a stunning volley off my heal from 5 yds that trickled into
the net. Win is a win as they say so happy days are here again.
Iron Boot award: Andy after shoving their guy off the ball and then trying
to look as innocent as Bamby when he was as guilty Gary Glitter in a
playground "sorry mate, was that a foul?"
Soft Slipper: Me.....trying to shoot jarring my shoulder, scuffing the shot
and knackering my back all in one moment....no one near me.....and sweating
strepsils
