Boots 1 OCS 4
Another defeat. But from the pits of gloom and despair a phoenix has arisen
in the shape of an excellent 2nd half display! Definitely a story of two
halves. First half was poor. 0-4 says it all. I'm only going to write about
the Second half. 1-0! A few positional changes and (as all the top coaches
say) focus on doing the simple things saw a transformation that hopefully
will be a marker for the rest of the season. A big pat on the back for
everyone really. Great debut from Dan - hopefully he'll see the light and
sign up for regular footy. Andy and Bob were a great pairing at the back,
Davids found his true role in midfield, as did Gyles (Mr Consistency!), Rich
looked a real danger when he had a chance to run at their defence from
midfield, fantastic goal from Wes "Robbie Fowler" Heaton (classy finish
after good team build up). Tim put in a display that will have left the
regular fool who plays in goal clutching his shoulder in pain. He wins Iron
Boot Award for his fair but tough challenge on their forward in the 2nd half
- made the guy think twice after that.
