Match Report 1
Flying Boots 0 BUCS 3
Oh dear! Same again......To be fair BUCS are a much improved side and are
very organised. We played much better than last week but again couldn't hit
the preverbal barn door. Never mind! Onwards and upwards (not a lot of
option with the latter).
Iron Boot: Boberto......for squaring up to the guy in the 2nd half, almost
got the iron fist award.....
Soft slipper award: Andy
Boot of the Week: Timinator. Good running, anticipation. Great game.

Match Report 2
7 (fb's) vs 5 (bucs, not inc their 2 old guys)
3 nil to bucs - hmmmmm...
nevermind boys, considering we had all the possession in the first half
and actually played some beautiful composed football, we were however
unlucky to of conseeded a goal just before halftime (a slight
deflection i mostly think - though it was from miles out). we had a
chance to equalise straight after and a well worked chance that was too
- a possible skill boot nomination maybe?! not long into the second
half and bucs grabbed another goal which demoralised the boots, more so
when it was 4 of our defensive boots (inc our gk) against their 2
attackers (how did they score that???). anyhow we followed up with many
chances from rich (great debut me son and unlucky to score) and
millerdona, of which were either saved and blocked by their keeper (who
gets my man of the match and is probably the best keeper in the dept
league) or just sailed wide of the post! i thought the substitutions
worked well today, and i though the passing from the back was the best
i've seen for a while (well at least in the first half)! it was obvious
we got tired in the second half from our mistakes and thus our movement
let us down, hence their 3rd goal just before time was called....how
appropriate from their time keeper!
i agree:
- soft slipper to andy getting nailed by their smallest, weakest, 60+ year old player. all that blood for nothing!
- iron boot to boberto for starting a fight (though the other guy backed off when he realised who he was messing with)!
- fb man of the match, the timinator, though his 50-50's didn't pay
off, it was a joy to watch his composure, one-twos and reading of the
game.
next time boys, we'll av em,
millerdona (i'm not bitter and i'm sorry if i get nouty on the pitch to
fellow boots - i'm just a bad loser boys and very passionate about the
game, just like rooney)!
