Boots 3 Biology 2
A good game today guys and a good result made all the better by a beer to
throw down at the end (cheers Andy!). This was a real team performance. Good
first half goals from Wes and Steve "Gerrard" Husbands (that was a blinder
and probably your quota for the year!) to give us a 2-0 half time lead.
Biology fought back to 2-2 (partly thanks to yours truly!) but then Philgo
struck with a magnificent effort off both knees from about 2 yards!! Its
difficult to single anyone out this week for a Boot of the Week award so I
won't - this was a team effort. David on his lunchtime Boots debut ran his
socks off - hopefully the first of many games for us. Osama and Andy were
solid at the back, Timinator bossed the midfield, Gyles showed off his
skills (that turn on the touch line at the end was sublime!), Steve played
well as well as scoring (I've mentioned that twice now!) and didn't kick
anyone. Wes gave their defence a lot of problems, got a knock, scored a goal
and committed the only foul by us in the game (very innocuous) so wins the
Iron Boot award again by default. Philgo - you know you want to make your
move a permanent one don't you? Good game today Sir - great goal (glad it
wasn't a hat trick!). You are down as Luis Philgo on the website.
