Boots 1 Maths 3
I could probably select almost any match report from the last six months or so for this, played OK, got thumped. To be honest despite a bit of huff and puff we looked shaky from the start and were soon punished with maths easing to two nil nailing us on the break. Yet all was not lost for the boots and the positive thing over the last few games is that we are making a lot more chances and Mike managed to send the keeper the wrong way and keep us in the game.
The second half was pretty much all boots with a raft of chances and their keeper making some good stops I seem to remember a triple save at one point. Of course we should have buried it in that incident and in typical fashion just as we were ruing our luck they beat us on the break and made it 3-1 when it should of been 2 all. We huffed and puffed and should have had our second but again failed in front of goal time ran out and we really should have had a draw, still its no shame to lose to the probable summer champs.
Debut boot: Jez, showed some nice skill and should be an excellent addition to our team!
Retiring boot: The ever shy and retiring Stu, bitter disappointment in his last game for the Boots thanks for all the sterling performances and sweary barneys I think legendary status is assured! Chunter rating:3 on the scale a fairly quiet one (remember its like the richter scale so 10 is nowt short of murder!)
Skill boot: I'm crap at this I'll probably give it to Jez for some nice touches but Mike sending the keeper the wrong way could be there if it wasnt all done in slow motion!
Iron boot: This goes to Wolfy for ripping his shorts while retrieving the ball is this the first off the pitch iron boot award?
