Boots 0 Biology 1 Well It was a good hard and physical (but clean and agro free!) game, did fitness tell toward the end?
The game started at a high temp and remained like that throughout, to behonest i think ) 0-0 was a fair relection on the game at half time with niether team genereating to many chances. Hoevert the Boots chances were more clear cut and I'm sure we hit the bar and forced a couple of saves and a few corners wheras James was barely troubled.
The second half was a bit more open and had more end to end, but again the boots had more chances hit the bar a gain force a couple of smashing saves form their keeper and while we were all to blame for putting a foot wrong, Mike missed a golden volley oppertunity at the rear posat that will give him a couole of sleepless nights. As fatigue and and positional sense wavered a bit after a series of rapid substitutions Biologty took control of the game for about 5 min and forced a couple of saves from James but he look more than up to it. Unfortubnately after a comedy of errors a bobbly ball went between his legs and another chance of a clean sheet was ruined, unluckey to be fair.
After this biology never really wanted to go for it again and let us come at them, which we did missing anouther few chances. Desperately coing for the equaliser it looked like we might have done it in the dying moments the Biology keeper mad e a fine save the loose ball came to yours truly who proceeded to blast it wide when there was enough time to control and have a go at getting it on target. Bum! So i think we had enough to edge it, a draw would have been accepatable and deserved, a loss was a sucker punch. At least I know what it feels like to be French now!
Skill boot: You tell me I was to tired to notice
Iron boot: it was quite a clean game so no real contenders
WTF? Boot: Stu who appeared to injure his ankle all by himself!
Stui Costa chunter rating: 1/10 a quiet day heard him shoult a coupl, of times though has the temper been tamed?
Top Tip: Dont get pissed two nights in a row before a vital Boots game, even if Scotland did beat France to top the group of death!
