Another win! This can't be right? Especially against the once mighty ACE. To be fair our opposition were missing key players and went a man down before the end due to an early departure but credit where credit is due as it was a good display by the Boots to record a good win. Starting with Tim in goal due to Gudjackson's dodgy finger the Boots looked the better team but never really got going in the first half. Tim did well between the sticks making several good stops, particularly diving efforts in each half to turn the ball around the post and one theatrical flop onto the ball that had the on looking Gudjackson glowing with pride. The second half saw the Boots push on and Mike opened the scoring with a great finish after some good interchanges with Ian. Unfortunately in stretching to slot the ball home he pulled up with a hamstring twinge which curtailed his involvement in the rest of the match. ACE came forward after this in search of an equaliser but good defending, particularly from Davids, kept them out. A hopeful agricultural thump by Gudjackson up the field put Ian free to pull off a splendid finish to make it 2-0 and within moments Wolfgang clinically slotted home from close range to seal the win. Ali nearly made it four right at the end but alas it wasn't to be.
