Boots 4 Social Science 2
We won!! I suppose the match report could just consist of those two words really but I will try and elaborate a little. After playing well but for no reward against Biology the Boots brought their fine flowing football into this match. The Boots took the lead after their keeper beat the ball out to Ian who drilled in a low shot into the net. The Socials equalised shortly after and then Mike scored the goal of the game beating his man and racing clear to give the Boots a 2-1 half time lead with a thunderous finish. The second half saw the Socials coming back into the game but some stout defending and at times desperate goalkeeping kept them at bay. Midway through the half Mike coolly finished off a good move to make it 3-1 but within minutes the score was 3-2 after a scrambled effort from a corner. The pressure mounted as the Socials felt they could get something from the game but it was their defence that cracked when a socials defender put through his own goal to make it 4-2 and wrap up a magnificent Boots victory. Iron Boot: A clean game! The award is vacant........
Skill Boot: Mike.....fantastic second goal skipping past his man in the middle of the pitch and racing clear to knock it past the keeper.
Bad Arse Boot: Ian..........
