Boots 0 Biology 1
There have been many
matches that the Boots haven't deserved to lose but this must rank
right up there with the best of them. Besides claiming a few crosses
Gudjackson had few saves to make. It would be fair to say the Boots
created more chances and the best of them were crafted by Ian W and
Mike. Mike, on debut, looked an excellent player with lots of running
and good ball skills. He can count himself particularly unlucky not to
have grabbed a goal and did not deserve to be on the losing side given
the quality of his performance. The decisive goal came midway through
the 2nd half. A firm shot that Gudjackson had covered took a wicked
deflection off Wes's outstretched leg and looped into the opposite
corner of the net. Hard luck on Wes who had had a fine game at the
back. This defeat puts us bottom of the heap. Onwards and upwards.......
Boots: Toby, David, Wolfgang, Tim, Wes, Mike, Ian W, Ali, Stu, Rich Boot on Debut: Mike.....fantastic debut. A man of the match performance! Return of a Boot: Rich Iron Boot: Gudjackson.....for bouncing Badly Drawn Boy's jaw off his shoulder Skill Boot:
Mike.....midway through the second half a great jinking run beat three
players in the middle of the pitch and was only denied a goal by the
Biology keeper.
